Sept. 11: Arrive into Guatemala City at about 9 AM & bus to Finca Ixobel in Poptun
Sept. 11 - 14: Orientation at Finca Ixobel - tree houses, team meetings, and activities
Sept. 14 - 21: Volunteer, homestays, and construction work at the local Poptun village school
Sept. 21: Travel by bus to San Andres across Lago Peten-Itza
Sept. 21 - Oct. 4: Language schools and homestays in the town of Coban
Weekend: Visit ancient Mayan ruins of Tikal
Oct. 4 - 6: Travel by bus to the Alta Verapaz region and overnight. Visit to Semuc Champey waterfalls
Oct. 6 - 12: Volunteer in Cloud Forest of Guatemala working with Proyecto Ecologico Quetzal
Oct. 12: Travel to Xela via private transport
Oct. 12 - 18: Spanish classes in Quetzaltenango (Xela) at Casa Xelaju
Oct. 18 - 20: Three-day trek through the Guatemalan highlands visiting local villages along the way
Oct. 20: Overnight in San Marcos
Oct. 21: Travel to Antigua and overnight
Oct. 22: AM flight to Managua, Nicaragua and bus to Granada for overnight
Oct. 23 & 24: Free days in Nicaragua to explore Granada or Leon
Oct. 24: Bus to Parque Maderas in San Juan del Sur
Oct. 24 - 31: Volunteer with Parque Maderas ecological community and arts center. Free time to learn surfing
Nov. 1 & 2: Day of the Dead celebrations in Granada
Nov. 3 - 8: Language school and homestays in Granada
Nov. 8: Bus to San Jose, Costa Rica and overnight
Nov. 9: Free day in San Jose
Nov. 10: Travel to Nicoya peninsula for Leatherback Sea Turtle volunteer project
Nov. 10 - 15: Volunteer with the Leatherback Sea Turtles
Nov. 15: Travel to Punta Mona for a week of spiritual reflection and yoga
Nov. 15 - 21: Learn yoga, meditation, and a variety of other spiritual practices
Nov. 21 - 26: Group-designed Free Travel
Nov. 26: Overnight in San Jose
Nov. 27: Early AM flight from San Jose to the Bay Island of Roatan, Honduras
Nov. 27 - Dec. 3: SCUBA classes at the Seagrape Dive Centre in West End
Dec. 3: Fly from Roatan at 12:55 PM, back to San Francisco
